hormones, metabolism and why we need them to work!

Has anyone ever gone on a diet that they could effortlessly sustain for a year? no carbs, low carb, carb-cycling, high-fat, low-fat, no-salt, lemon & honey. You name it, its always been a fad!

What's the problems with diets?

  • We deprive ourselves.

  • We beat ourselves up over that waning willpower.

  • We fight with foods and our food choices (no to that doughnut x 50th time, gets old).

  • We go deeper and deeper into despair, anger, shame and actually perpetuate food addiction!

Not really pleasant and doesn't leave you wanting more. Life is too short to keep fighting with one of the necessities in life, food.

Diets don’t work. They aren’t sustainable and make us focus on what is forbidden! More so, they don’t do much to target our hormones - where the trouble lies in the first place.

"Fatness" is a result of major hormonal imbalances. How do you know your hormones are running haywire? See if any of these sound familiar:

It turns out, our metabolic system is broken. We need to fix it because the problem with a broken metabolic system means you store fat everytime you eat instead of using it as fuel.

A broken metabolism can eventually lead to serious issues such as insulin resistance, diabetes, heart disease and dementia. Noone wants that.

During this 21 day challenge, we will go around working on your seven major metabolic hormones:

  • Estrogen

  • Insulin

  • Leptin

  • Cortisol

  • Thyroid

  • Testosterone

  • Growth Hormone

During the 21 days, you will spend 3 days focusing on each of these hormones (either alone or in a combo) and after 21 days, the broken system would be repaired!

Also nutrition is only 80% of that “formual”, 20% is exercise! Whilst the nutrition plan takes care of your insides, our barre workouts will work on creating long and lean muscles which will lead to a healthier outside! Win-Win.
